MAC – Retro Matte Liquid Lip Colour Metallics in Crowned

Hi everyone!!!

Welcome back to I Am Serene L. I hope you’re all having a wonderful weekend!!! Today will be a lovely blogpost dedicated to the new MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick in the colour Crowned!

I will be doing a 3 x part liquid lipstick series as mentioned on my social media, with three different brands and 3 different lipsticks as I’m addicted to liquid lipsticks and love them in different colour but I really always look for a matte finished liquid lipstick!!! In the liquid lipstick series, I’ll be reviewing Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipstick in Backtalk & Lime Crime Matte Velvetines Liquid Lipstick in Cashmere.

I love love love love love love this MacRetro Matte Liquid lipstick in Crowned. It’s such a special liquid lipstick, and I fell in love with it when I saw a girl wearing it whilst in Holland at one of the MAC stores in Den Haag. The colour first of all is an incredible metallic Deep Burgundy / Purple lipstick and the colour is STUNNING! The metallic shades come in 25 shades, and I’ll be sure to pick up a couple more! But for now this one definitely lives up to its name, Crowned, it’s such a jewel of a colour ❤

I love everything about this liquid lip colour, from the packaging to the applicator brush. I love the shape of the tube, it’s see through so that you can see the stunning lip colour and I love the applicator brush. It’s the perfect size and shape. The brush is oval shaped for a perfect lip application each time, and applies just the right amount of lipstick on the lips whilst distributing it evenly.

What’s also perfect about this MAC Retro Matte Lip colour Metallics range is that the colours dry to a soft matte finish but expose the most beautiful mattified Metallic finish and it’s eye catching… You’ll get all the compliments from wearing this & it’s something different ❤ so I’ll definitely be buying a whole load more of these bad boys!

The formula is incredible as well, it’s long lasting I’ve eaten with the liquid lipstick on, and only a tiny bit disappears when eating / drinking which you can touch up with ease (without the fear that adding layers will crease and separate the lipstick). It lasts for more than 8 hours on the lips – or longer if you plan on not drinking / eating lol for a long period of time, and once it dries it dries to a soft matte finish – AND WON’T BUDGE EVEN IF YOU TOUCH IT! PERFECT

I’ve uploaded a video on my Instagram to demonstrate how easy it is to apply MACCrowned on the lips and to show how stunning that deep burgundy Metallic loveliness looks and you can see more on a mini makeup video tutorial I uploaded on Instagram here!
