L.A. Girl. – Pro. Concealers in Green & Yellow

I am really excited to be introducing yet another American brand over on I Am Serene L :D! & I’m realllly happy to talk about L.A. Girl. Cosmetics here today, and talk to you all about the infamous Pro Concealers that have become such a popular talk amongst beauty bloggers, vloggers and celebrities that all swear by the concealers… and I couldn’t resist trying them out for myself!

& I found it really difficult to find the green & yellow corrector online & in store in the UK, as they were always sold out in Beauty Base & on Beautybay.com…. but that hasn’t stopped my search for the lovely concealers & when I found out that L.A. Girl. Cosmetics have opened up a UK web store, I was like YEEEEESSSSS & made a run for my laptop & made a cheeky concealer order!

My fellow UK L.A Girl Cosmetics lovers can start purchasing their goods from www.lagirlcosmetics.co.uk!!!

I’ve seen loads of different ways of using these coloured concealers and how to apply them onto the face & would use the different colours available to target different areas on their faces…. so I’ve broken down what colours you should use to target different areas and what you would use each colour corrector to cover!

Colour correcting uses the basis of colour theory to ‘correct’ discolouration in the face!

Green Corrector – Will cover any redness in the face (which I have bought to try as I suffer from redness under my eyes and around my nose!).

Yellow Corrector – will cover mild rosy / redness within the skin! ( Which I also bought to help with my green corrector!).

& can also cover dark circles and brownish areas within the face!

Orange Corrector – Will cover dark circles and brownish areas within the skin on Medium – dark skin tones.

Peach / Salmon Correctors – Will cover dark circles and brownish areas within the skin for Light – Medium skin tones.

Lavender Corrector – Will cover yellowness within the skin.

Red Corrector – Will cover brown & dark circles and brownish areas within the skin on Deep and dark skin tones.

I love these Pro Concealers from L.A. Girl. they’re really affordable, each priced at £4.99 you get a super intensely pigmented concealer formula that stays creamy through application and easily blends in, proving high coverage for the discoloured areas on your face that need coverage! I absolutely love the fact that they blend in with ease into the skin, and that because they are highly pigmented that you will only need a little bit of the product on your skin to cover the discoloured areas. I love the long lasting nature of these correctors. These correctors have far exceeded my expectations in terms of how incredible they are, and they are of high quality as well, and for only £4.99 they are even better than skin toned coloured concealers I’ve tried including the NarsRadiant creamy concealer. Which do in a sense brighten the face, but rarely work in disguising any discolouration alone. I would probably use the skin toned concealers on top of foundation if I needed a lot of coverage!

I also love the transparent packaging, it shows you exactly how much product is left inside and I love the easy to carry tube shape, that has a very easy to use brush tip that squeezes out the formula, allowing you to create perfect lines with ease.

Here are the swatches for the Yellow & the Green corrector below!

|| How I applied the Correctors ||

I love the little brush tip nozzle on each of the correctors, they make application so easy& you can glide straight lines onto the areas you need to cover with ease!

1) I applied the green corrector in lines, using the brush tip on the corrector pen under the eyes because that is where I get the most redness in my face. I then blended it using my index finger. I’ve found my index finger the most useful tool in blending it in smoothly instead of a makeup sponge or brush, as most the product remains on your face rather than being taken up by the makeup sponge / brush! (which is really a waste of product)!

2) I then applied the yellow corrector on top of the areas I’ve covered with the green corrector, for extra coverage ( you don’t need the two on top of each other, however I’ve found the green to be very overpowering on it’s own… so neutralising it with the yellow corrector on top, before you apply your foundation just sets the colour together and balances out the colours a bit more)!

I would then go on to apply my foundation on top and going over areas that you’ve applied the corrector in lightly using a makeup brush.
