I want to apologise a tiny bit for my absence from the blogging world the past 5 days! (But I’m only a little bit sorry) :p As I’ve been relaxing on the beach & it really feels good to get away for a while & refresh your mind! I hope you will all forgive me!
Here are a couple of pictures 🙂
I’d love to know what you all have gotten up to lately!!!?
Now Now back to the Blogpost!!
I am really excited to share with you all my latest Ellis Faas Discovery, the Ellis Faas – Compact Powder.
I’m using the Ellis Faas – Compact powder in S401, and the Ellis Faas – Ellis Case for the compact powder!
|| Why do you need a Compact Powder & How to Apply ??? ||
I believe that setting powders are an important makeup tool to have in your makeup kit as they will keep your makeup looking flawless for a long period of time, without the worry of your makeup melting off!!!
It is great for those with oily skin like myself!!! I would use this compact powder to touch up my skin throughout the day! I would apply the compact powder with the puff sponge available for a quick touch up. Or if I have time, I’d use a powder brush to distribute it over my oily t-zone! Either way it works to matte out oily areas on the face!

From looking at the packaging of the Ellis Faas – Compact powder, you are instantly wowed by the silver monochromatic case & the Minimal Logo inscription on the lid of the case! I was instantly impressed & this made me excited to try out the product even more!
After this, I looked into the powder! The powder felt soft in it’s texture & I was a bit worried that as it was soft & felt light, that it wouldn’t have high coverage. However, by trying it out, all my worries disappeared as I instantly fell in love with the way it stood on my skin! It gave me high coverage, covered my oily t-zone area without the feeling that I had a lot of my skin!
My readers would know of my previous Love for the Mac – Select Sheer pressed powder ( I do still love this product ). I wanted to compare the pricing of the Ellis Faas – Compact powder with the Mac one. The Mac one includes a case and is priced at £20, and the Ellis Faas powder is £17.00 alone without the case. You’d need the case to store the product which will give you a difference of £6.00, making the Mac option cheaper!!!
That being said, I would invest in the case, as you will not need to dispose of it after when you buy a replacement Ellis Faas – Compact powder. With the Mac one, you would need to dispose of the entire powder (including the mirror) which would be a waste of money!!! I find the nature of the case being separate to the powder beneficial as you will be saving money in the long run!
I would definitely recommend this product, as it gives you High coverage, feels light! Adjust well to your skin tone & will definitely cover up your oily areas (if you have any)! You will also get a lot of use out of this product, as you will not need to touch up your makeup many times throughout the day. The nature of the powder is long lasting, and will instantly set your foundation & also matte out any oily areas in the skin!
& Here is a picture of my Face when it’s complete with a Foundation Base & The Ellis Faas – Compact powder above!!!
