Howto Smokey / Pin Up Eye MOTD

Before I go into my post I would like to apologise for the lack of posting ❀ I love you all & want to make it up to everyone by giving you an easy Howto on creating a Smokey eye – combined with a Pin up eyeliner Look!!! πŸ™‚

I am in love with Smokey eyes but I find that Pink / Brown towns suit my skin tone more over other tones ( such as whites & greys) < Nothing wrong with that, I love it but I wish I could pull those tones off!!!

So instead of Grey tones I’ve created a classic Smokey eye (that you could wear as part of your everyday makeup)

& Brought it up a notch with a Killer Pin Up Cat eye!!!

& with that being said here is my HowTo Smokey / Pin up Eye MOTD (Makeup of the day) Tutorial!!

But before I go into the Step by Step here is the finished Look:

If you’re interested in the earrings in my MOTD Look, they’re vintage from my Mum. She bought them in the 7os from Jerusalem ❀ I love Raiding her closet!!!

& here are all the tools I’ve used!

I’ve used:

Ellis FaasConcealer in S201- Light / Fair – | HEREΒ |

Ellis FaasCreamy Eyes Eyeshadow in E103Deep Black – | HEREΒ |

Palladio BeautyEyeshadow Quad in ESQ01Tantalizing Taupe – |HERE|

Lancome ArtlinerLiquid Eyeliner – | HEREΒ |

Playboy MakeupMascara in Bunny Black

Playboy MakeupLipstick in In the Pink

LancomeBlush Subtil in 03 Sorbet de Corail – | HEREΒ |

CHANELΒ – Le Crayon Yeux – Precision Eye Definer in 01 Noir – | HEREΒ |

Urban DecayNaked 3 Eyeshadow Palette – | HEREΒ |

Those are all the tools πŸ™‚ & I will show you all the Swatches & talk you through the eye look step by step now!!! < But before you begin your eyes apply your foundation as usual to prep your face!!!

Step 1) Prime your eye lids

I’m using Ellis FaasConcealer to prime my eyes ( This is a great all in one product, that you can use in many different ways) < I will be talking about the Ellis Faas – Concealer in more detail on a later post πŸ™‚

& Here are the swatches | Left | Indoor Light / | Right | Outdoor Light

Β Step 2) Add your Darkest Shade onto all over your eyelid not going too above the crease line.

I’m using the Top Right Brown Eyeshadow from the Palladio BeautyEyeshadow Quad & applying with a Blending Brush.

Step 3) Use a Shading Brush to fill in the crease of your eyelid!

*** Use a Shade that is Either Lighter than your base eyeshadow / or Use a Shimmer Eyeshadow in a Similar Tone

I’m using Burnout from the Urban DecayNaked 3 Palette

Swatches | Left | Indoor Light / | Right | Outdoor Light

Step 4) Take a Neutral (Light Beige / White ) & sweep under the eyebrow (On the brow bone) – to the crease line on your eyelid using a shading brush.

This will help to soften up the look & Clean up the Smokey eye!

I’m using Strange from the Urban Decay – Naked 3 Palette to achieve this!

Swatches | Left | Indoor Light / | Right | Outdoor Light

& place a little of the Neutral shade on the inner corner of your eye as well!

DSC06696

Step 5) Outline your Eyeliner Shape using your Pencil Liner (to shade in a base line). I’m using the Chanel Pencil Eye Definer to achieve this!

DSC06707

& then go over the Base line Β Liquid Eyeliner to create a Wing Triangle Shape from the Outer corner of the eye ( to create the Winged Tail )

I’m using Lancome – Artliner to Achieve this look, as the pen on it is Precise & draws thin lines < Perfect for outlining your Triangle!!!

DSC06713

Step 6) Fill in any missing areas using any Gel Liner or Liquid Eyeliner.

However I’ve found using my Lancome – Artliner pen dipped in my Ellis Faas Creamy Eyes – Eyeshadow is an EPIC Liquid / Gel liner replacement. However I wouldn’t use it as an eyeliner directly from the tip of its own brush as it’s thick & you need a precise stroke.

***I love finding many uses for my products & using the Artliner Pen in this way will be useful when it finishes ( so you can then just use it as a brush replacement)

Look Here at the Brush Difference – | Left | LancomeΒ Artliner Brush tip / | Right | Ellis Faas Brush tip

& Here is the actual Ellis Faas – Creamy eyes Swatch

& You will achieve this!

Step 7 ) Bring Definition to your eyes by Coating your Upper Lashes with a Coating of Mascara.

I’m using the Playboy Makeup Mascara.

& Repeat on your Lower Lashes too!!!

& your Smokey / Pin Up eye is Complete!

& Here are all the Most important Steps together!!!

& to complete my Look I’ve added a Deep Fuchsia Pink from Playboy Makeup on my lips!

***You can either Go Deep Fuchsia Pink for a more Modern take on the Pin Up Makeup style or Bright Red for a More Retro Pin Up Look!!!
